Happy................

In most cases this is not even worth blogging about but in this house it is a remarkable event. Watching from afar our beloved football team finally won a game. We are very happy but we are so very happy for all those lads who have been waiting sooooo long to sing their theme song after the match.

Friday again!...................

I have found it very hard to get to this little space this week. School holidays are upon us again, 2 weeks this time and we have been busy with friends, having dinners, watching the Va'a sprint championships that are happening at our local beach, waiting hours at the post office( this is a story for a whole post on it's own) and then trying very hard to fit in some general relaxation time. The later hasn't worked very well but we shall get that next week as we plan on heading way up north to go camping.

The very cute teeni tiny Blythe figurines you see are ebay purchases that I received this week. These teeni tiny gals caused the extended time sitting at the post office. I must remind myself next time I am looking at something cute on the internet 

'that yes 99cents is cheap but the amount of money and effort that is put in to the getting this cute thing doesn't always add up to time well spent'. 

Do other people do such silly purchases? Anyway they are very cute and they are going to be added to my new collection of Blythe related paraphernalia.

Another Monday and another public holiday. May is the month of public holidays here in Noumea and there is alot of them, nearly one a week. We are spending this one at home watching the rain pelt down........it has rained nearly all weekend and this morning! Not good for the kids but good for me. I love it as it means I can do a whole lot of crafty things without feeling guilty about being inside so needless to say I have done some sewing, baking, crocheting and blog reading.

As I write the sun is trying to pop it's head out from the clouds maybe we might get a family walk in before the end of the day.

Once upon a time there were 3 cupcakes. All  3 cupcakes were going on separate adventures to 3 different girls for their birthdays. The raspberry one is going to Estelle for her 8th birthday, the mint one is going to Sophie for her 11th birthday, she is travelling all the way to Australia and the vanilla one is going to Robin for her ????birthday. Number unknown and she proabably won't want me to tell everybody anyway. Not knowing how this story ends i'm sure these 3 cupcakes will have an adventure of a lifetime.

Ages and ages ago I got tagged and of course it has taken me so long to get around to doing it. Today though is the day you get to see what I have to do in this tag. It is all about colour and I got the colour red!! I went through my photos and found a few I had taken of things that were red around our house.I was originally tagged by Nicky she had the colour green.

Is anybody else having problems putting images up on blogger? It is doing some really odd stuff........any feedback would be helpful.

Sunday..............

It's Sunday afternoon and we are nearly at the end of a 4 day weekend. It has been a nice 4 days we didn't go away as school holidays are upon us next week and we hope to go away then. The weekend has seen us do a bit of everything some bike riding, some walking, catching up with friends, lunch out, sleeping in and having drinks at a local coffee shop that makes super-dooper fantastic hot chocolates.Sunday for me  always has a different feel to it so I know this afternoon brings the organising for the week ahead. Homework needs to be finished, school bags checked that they have everything in them and a special sunday meal. The meal has to be something that makes us sit around the table so we can talk about what is happening in the week ahead. Tonight it is pumkin & potato soup, I think I may even bake some savoury scones to go with it. Yum yum!!!

My creative space.........

Oh god today I have been trying to work out how to upload pictures onto a different blog format( is that what you would call it?)...........boy was it confusing but I did it in the end. I was asked to do a little guest post about a little hat I had made for one of our Petite Blythes. The blog is we play with dolls. I have been following this site for a while now, they talk all things dolls and spend alot of time talking about Blythes. I like it very much!
But aswell as learning how to do that I also learnt something new with blogger. I learnt how to put up stand alone pages and you will find it new on my side bar. I know lots of ladies have been doing this for a while but it is always very exciting when you finally figure out how to do something new.

I haven't looked as yet but you will find other creatives space's over at Kirsty's place.

Not much to say about anything today but I thought I would show you the oh so cute bags we get a delicious pastries in. I don't think they have changed since the 70's.

My creative space.........

Full steam ahead in the creative space today. I have a full day of activities which will include some crafting, some errand running and some lunching with a few lovely ladies. All good things for this sunny Thursday. This morning I finished up the brooch that is going to be the prize in my giveaway. I am still working on the dolly outfit( hopefully you will see that tomorrow). Please have a look at the giveaway post (it's the one below) and join in if you would like. It's all for a bit of fun!

How many shoes does one girl need?..........................

How many shoes does one girl need? Who knows but the more the merrier....yes! A couple of weeks back I bought a whole lot of shoes for my Blythe girls. Too many infact but how could I resist a bargain, they cost me a whopping 99 cents. The postage was a whole lot more than that as they had to come from Hong Kong. Anyway about the same time as I was ordering these lovely things my 400th post came about and I didn't do anything to celebrate it. So I am going to have a giveaway on my 418th post instead. There is a little catch to this giveaway you have to tell me how many shoes & boots there are in the photo. I will do 2 prizes one for the Blythe dolly lovers which will include a pair of shoes and something to go with them and for the other prize I haven't decided yet but maybe one of my new brooches. In your comment tell me which category you are in. Dolly or brooch! I will leave the giveaway open till next Sunday afternoon and then pull a correct answer from a hat.

Oh it is Monday again and it has gone from this on the weekend to a grey, blustery and rainy day today. We went off camping to a little Ilot north of Noumea on the weekend and the weather was so superb that the kids hardly spent any time on the beach they were just in that blue blue sea the whole time. I am not so sad that today is like it is then I don't feel so sad about leaving it all behind and having to come back to the normal stuff. I have a house to clean and a whole heap of blogs to read so I think my day being spent inside away from the rain will not be so bad.
