Slack/love Friday...........

Today I am going to re-name my love Friday post to slack Friday as nothing much has happened so far and I have nothing planned for the rest of the day. I'm just going to be checkin' in on what everybody else is doin' and I thought I would put some links to a few new people I have found lately and am enjoying very much.

Black bananas........

There isn't a week that goes by that I don't have a few black bananas hanging around my kitchen. I have been on the hunt for a nice muffin recipe for some time and this morning I came across one. I picked it up at The bird bath. So I quickly wrote down the recipe, shot off to the kitchen and in 10 minutes flat these beauties were in the oven. They didn't come out looking quite like the ones in bird bath's picture but I think they might have tasted just as good. I recommend to give this recipe a go and if anybody has any other recipes for their favourite muffins I would be grateful for the info.

Monday, Monday.............

Love Friday...........

I am so loving this Friday as I had a request by my husband to make him a fish softie. It's for a work thing and it's meant to be a tuna. He turned out kinda cute don't ya think. I put the two pictures up to show he has odd googley eyes. I couldn't find two buttons the same.

It's not my space that I'm showing today. It's the space of my kids. When I'm on my cleaning rounds I am forever picking up pictures drawn by the kids then put aside. They are prolific! I just don't know what to do with them all. I can't keep every single one of them ( all are not worth keeping) but most are usually very cute.

I thought I might start putting up a drawing a day featuring the kids work as I literally find them everywhere notepads in my bag, bits of paper lying by the computer, beside their beds. This may also be a good way of keeping the images other than having stacks of paper everywhere.

If anybody would like to join in let me know and I will come have a look.

Love Friday...........

What has happened so far to make it a fabulous Friday-

We woke up with the sun shining no more rain.
The family had a picnic lunch on the beach.
I have nearly finished the wall hanging/doll quilt for a birthday party tomorrow. It has taken a few detours since it's beginning last weekend.

What are we going to do to finish off this Friday-

We are heading off to the social club at the dear husbands work for a cold beer. A great way to finish off the week.

Occy...........

Another overcast rainy day yesterday and a wee one on the couch sick( can you believe it one week back at school and already sick!). An octopus was made for cheering up purposes. He got himself a nice beanie for the upcoming winter and he has been hanging out with Pinky.

Pinky and the rain............

It rained a whole lot this weekend. There was time to sit on the couch and stare at the box which now has channels on it not only in french. A lovely pink rabbit was created without to much fuss. I think I am going to make a few for Easter.
