A parcel a day...........
The postie has been seen sited in our cul-de-sac twice this week and both times he has stopped at our place. Today Martine's sweet knickers turned up from New York and yesterday's parcel was all the way from Tasmania.
The parcel was a prize from a guessing competition the little arty crafty crow was having. I was most surprises when I opened the parcel to find one of her lovely creatures in there. I have been eyeing them off for quite some time. I love the coffee/tea stained finish and all the little detail she applies to her dolls.
She even has an 'A' necklace on which means she belongs to me.
Thank you once again Grace for this lovely parcel. You will be happy to know that Prue is going to join a slow growing collection softies that have since moved to Noumea.

Parliament of owls..............
Not what we planned.............
Last night when we went to bed we had big plans for the day. Breakfast of pancakes then a bike ride down along the promenade but during the wee hours of the morning it started raining and hasn't stopped. Big tropical downpours as we get here. So plans had to be changed, we still had pancakes but activities have changed to the indoor type. I am making some owls while the wee ones are playing shopkeepers. And let me tell you the shopkeepers have one hell of a shoe shop. It includes all the lovely shoes we bought ourselves yesterday.
Mine are the red ones. So, so cute too.

My creative space........
My time today was spent co-ordinating strips of fabrics, a bit of embroidery and in between watching a bit of Trinny & Susannah undress. I do love these girls. I am not sure why but I do!
Oh and catching up on all the other goings on in the world of creative spacers.

Lack of conversation.........
I had a trip to the hairdressers yesterday which was very much needed. On my way there I realised I hadn't been since January. Scary!!! I never usually notice how bad the regrowth is until I sit in the chair and look in the very well lite mirror then I cringe. My hairdresser or mon coiffeur, if you like to say it in French, have a very good understanding. Neither of us say very much too one another because we can't but he always does just what I want. The right colours, the right cut and I come out feeling fabulous. Maybe it's all telepathic, maybe I'm sitting there all the time thinking don't mess up my hair, yes like that, that is good or it is just not seeing all that grey. Who knows but I like his style.
My hair doesn't look anything like the Blythe above (if you were wondering why I put her there) I just like her do.

Unfocused Friday.............
It has been raining all day here and I have been a bit lost with what to do with myself. I have things I should be doing like housework but I don't want to do that! So in between deciding what I really want to do I prepared dinner, admired my mini moo cards that arrived yesterday and messed around with some ideas I have had floating around my head. There is a festival here in October and fellow artist/friend has asked me to share a stall with here so that's what all the thinking has been for.
I hope somebody has had a bit more focused day than me, please let me now I would be interested to see what you have done..

Clothes for Martine..............
Here we are clothes made and a whole new ensemble at that. I didn't think I would get that achieved! I know the garments are only small but they are fiddley and can take sometime to do. She got a quick and easy frilly skirt and a wee crocheted cross over top to wear with those fab boots.
I do just love these girls they are so made just to model stuff. I went shopping last night and bought Martine some undies, I'm not going to fiddle around with things this small but all the shots I see of the girls they all look so gorgeous. While in the process of doing this I saw a new girl that I think I will put on my wishlist for my birthday. I really do think it will be wishful thinking that I will be able to get her but we can only try.
p.s if you would like a closer look at the clothes just click on the image.

Red boots..............
I bought these fab red cowboy boots for Martine some time ago and haven't gotten around to making her anything to go with them. I have gotten all inspired again after reading about Buttontree's jetsetter friend. She had a whole lot of cute gear in her bags. So I am off to sew after a coffee with the husband. He is working from home this afternoon.Hopefully I will have show and tell tomorrow.

..................
Not much to report here. Life has taken on a slower pace and we are all participating. I haven't done a whole lot of crafting or much else in the past week. The bare minimum of housework was done and not very complicated meals were served up to all. Nobody complained so that was ok. I need to have those weeks every now and again, do you?. I am hoping this week will be a bit more productive on all fronts.
There was some glory in the week I found a little Japanese store that has a few very cute bits and pieces, not alot but a few. We started getting some things for the upcoming birthday of the wee ones. Some little sticker books and Hello kitty goodie bags.

Finally..................
I have finally gotten around to finishing my PIF packages. My recipients have been waiting a bit longer than the time required. I am so very sorry for this girls but you will see your gifts soon. It is amazing how life goes by without me noticing and I loose all track of time and then a whole year has passed. Does this happen to anybody else or is it just me? Maybe Noumea is a bit like a Bermuda triangle and time just goes missing like airplanes. Anyway I have given you a peek of what is heading out and I will show all when they have arrived safe and sound at the other end.

Fete de Mere...............
Yesterday was fete de mere(mothers day) and what a nice day we had. We spent the morning eating french toast, waffles, tea and plenty of coffee with a friend whose husband was out of town. Then the day proceeded on with more friends coming around who ended up stay for dinner. Even though I had to do a bit of entertain and not a lot of sitting I had a wonderful day. With nice company and a fabulous Pilgrim reindeer necklace who couldn't be happy.
This morning to say a big thank-you to the husband and kids for the necklace and handmade cards I baked them some lovely cupcakes for their after lunch treat.
We are all very lucky in this household.

Fab Friday...............
I have a very special little fact to share with you today and that is I can bake meringue's again. All humidity is out of the air and the egg whites, as is my hair, are doing what they are supposed to do. The eggs are fluffying up beautifully and my hair is not. How can this not be a fabulous Friday. I'm giving you a sneak peak at what is going to be served up for dessert tonight. Are you jealous?
I have also been busy putting a few other things in my wee little shop. Pop over and you can see what other little things I make besides owls.

My creative space & heart........
We are into to Pucca big time in this house. She is very cute and very feisty. Anyway we search high and low for clothing that Django can wear with her on it but much to our dismay it is all a bit girly. While out the other day we got ourselves some transfer paper with the idea to make him something and here it is. All his ideas I just had to do the manual work. There is still some crabs to go on the sea floor but he couldn't wait to wear it so I will finish that when he put his pj's on tonight.
There is a heart in there I don't think there should be any problem finding it. To find a whole lot more hearts have a look at Kootoyoo

Giveaway goodness............
What a very rewarding week I have had so far. Not rewarding in me getting stuff done that I need to but in winning things. It is up to 3 so far but I think that is were it will end. I can't be to greedy. The special things are as follows.
1:: A sweet package of barrettes from And she's off as part of the sew mama sew giveaway.
2:: I guessed the right twins on little arty crafty crow. I thought this would be a tricky one but obviously the brain was working correctly yesterday.
3:: and there was a Pendantic pendant going begging at Pink Licorice-life that needed to come to the Pacific.
That is a whole lot of goodness for one week. Now I am going to be sitting and waiting for the sound of our postie whizzing down our street.
Thank you again to all those lovely ladies.
